Hairpin Immersion Safety Heaters
Schloetter hairpin heaters are available in single or three phase, complete with waterproof terminal box and easy fit PVC clamping block (ready for connection).
The hairpin heaters are designed for clamping to the side of the electroplating vat or similar open tanks and offer efficient, convenient heating of a wide variety of solutions used within the metal finishing and chemical process industries.
The heaters have markers on the elements to indicate the minimum liquid level.
For use in shallow or irregular shaped tanks, the heater may be formed to the style as illustrated. This operation is performed during manufacture and should not be attempted by the customer.
The following dimensions are standard
(see diagram to the left).
y = 6", C(ideal solution level) = 7", W = 3½" ,
X = 35" for 2 kw ; 39" for 3 kw ; 42" for 4 kw ; 54" for 6 kw
Where standard heaters do not fit vat dimensions the element may be formed to suit. Some typical forms are displayed to the left - please state tank dimensions on ordering.
N.B. PTFE sheafed elements are longer than standard elements and invariably require forming.
Types E and G are popular forms of PTFE heater.
